Mistley Swans Women’s Rugby Team: Rising Together

The Mistley Swans women’s rugby team is making waves. What began as a small group of five women training at the end of July 2024 has grown into a squad of over 20 players and the momentum shows no sign of slowing down.

Many of the team are mums, either new to the sport or connected through their children who already play in the club’s mini or youth squads. That shared background has created something genuinely special at training sessions. The kind of camaraderie that is hard to manufacture and easy to spot.

The Swans are training for both touch and contact rugby and have already made their mark on the pitch, winning their first competitive match against Haverhill Women’s Team 32-17.

Their journey is only just beginning and we are proud to be part of it.
